The King’s Speech - the real synopsis
Synopsis: About a grossly privileged twat who has to overcome his stuttering problem so that he can say, ‘let’s live off the hard work of the masses’, instead of ‘let’s l-l-l-ive of the ha-ha-ha-hard wer-wer-wer-work aw-aw-aw-off duh-duh-duh-the mmm-mmm-mmm-mmm-ass-ass-ass-ass-ass......’

Briefly, on Capitalism II - on Google's resolution of the blogspot problem
Well, the problem with blogspot - the ‘save template’ function not working, thus disabling backend modifications of the site by bloggers - is finally fixed. I encountered this problem myself just after completing the major modifications on my art/photographic site, but couldn’t do the minor modifications due to the aforementioned problem. Well, i went and ‘yahoo-ed’ the problem (we should keep saying ‘google it’ or we’re simply allowing Google to monopolise the concept of searching the net.) and, happily, found that others were having the same problem - i love company for those miseries of mine which i can’t solve as that increases the number of minds working on a solution;).

Briefly, on Capitalism
(A tiny portion of the following was placed as a comment on a Google forum featuring complains about Blogger's 'save template' function in the back-end not functioning since yesterday - and which explains why my favicon in my art site is not functioning.)
Well, that's the thing about capitalism, the richer you allow the fat cats to get, the more they're going to own your means of expression, subsistence, aspiration, and motivation. S/he who owns the means of production, does not only own your means of subsistence, but owns all of the above as well. It is that which enables them to determine the evolution of the human persona.

Thinking about 'Old'
When people ask me what sort of music I listen to, I might say, amongst others, “60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s.” “Oh! Retro.”, they might respond knowingly. “No. ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s.”, I correct them. And if they were to push it with an, “It’s the same thing isn’t it!” Then they’ve asked for it.

musings on 'Uncle' Yap's 'hunger strike' and Singapore's Racist opposition
"By the time you watch this, I would be in prison on my regular hunger-strike, for the duration, in which i will consume only token amount of food." - source
When i saw the above, i couldn't help but chuckle as i said to myself - "that's not a 'hunger strike' mate. It's called, 'going on a diet'."

Egypt: Plight vs Class consciousness and U.S. chicanery
Why is the U.S. urging faster change in Egypt?
"US Vice-President Joe Biden urged that the transition should produce "immediate, irreversible progress that responds to the aspirations of the Egyptian people"." bbc
If you’re an idiot, or a run--of-the mill american, you might think, “because they’re the greatest nation and champion of democracy on earth”.
But if you’re an intelligent human being, or one who aspires to be, you might think,

A bit on Toyah and Ageism
I don’t understand some women sometimes.
So Toyah Willcox, some overpaid crooner of the 80s, says that society needs to ‘wise up’ and tackle ageism and sexism.
She says, “If women are not portrayed truthfully, fairly, respectfully in the eyes of young men, then sexism and ageism will continue to flourish.” - bbc

Let's talk about 'underage' sex
“Skins US version branded ‘dangerous’ by parents group
The MTV statement added that Skins, which premiered on 17 January, "addresses real-world issues confronting teens in a frank way".
The row focuses on the fact that some of the actors in the series are 16 and 17 years old.
Critics say putting them in sexual or nude scenes may encourage paedophiles and child porn.” bbc
I can’t really understand this to be honest. ‘Child’ porn? 16 and 17 years old? ‘Child’?
I’m conflicted on this issue.

BBC makes light of terror attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki
"Plans for Stephen Fry to film part of a documentary series in Japan have been shelved after complaints about nuclear bomb jokes in his quiz show QI.
The offending episode of QI was broadcast last month and featured a discussion about Tsutomu Yamaguchi - the only person known to have survived both bombings.

It is the Chinese, not the Malays, whom are 'distinct and separate'
Singapore's 'harmony', in a nutshell, has been brought about through getting the non-chinese to accept, evolve, and underdevelop in respect of their allotted and enforced 2nd class status. If there is 'harmony' today, it is due to non-chinese resignation and helplessness learned and internalised over the generations in the face of chinese apathy, and their therefore aspiring to and becoming less than they might otherwise would given an egalitarian milieu. - ed
